The opening prayers were led by the President, Mrs. Prina Gerow, who also chaired the meeting. Mrs. Kenney read the Scripture reading of the month. The minutes were read by Mrs. Leo Legault and discussed. Mrs. Pat Beno presented the financial statement which was moved for adoption as reported. Plans were discussed for renewal of the fish suppers to be held, with Oct. 18 chosen for the event this year. The ladies planned the dinner menu of Lake Superior lake trout, potatoes, peas and. carrots, salads, sauces, rolls, pumpkin pies, and beverages. The fish dinner will be served at the Community Hall with two sit- Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Gerow holidayed with relatives at Christopher Lake, Saskatchewan. Mrs. Lillie Schelling of Windsor has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. William Schelling. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gerow were holidaying at Expo in Vancouver, B.C. The other group spent the evening playing cribbage. The committee served a pork and bean supper and an enjoyable even- ing was had by all. The next game evening will be held at the hall on Good golf A former resident of Terrace Bay was one of ten players to gain membership in the Tournament Players Division of the Canadian Pro- fessional Golf Association on Oct. 1. Paul Dashkewytch, now residing in Kelowna, B.C., shot a 69 a final round of 69 at the end of a four-day tournament held at the Glen Meadows Golf Club in Victoria, B.C. for a total score of 290, good enough for fourth place out of 30 competitors. According to a release from Kelowna, Daskewytch wound up as one out of ten who gained member- ship in the division, which allows him to compete in professional golf tours.
