3 Swim Pool Opens: The Terrace Bay Swim- ming Pool will open to all recreation' members on Wednesday, June 18: The hours of operation for public swimming until June 25 will be: June 16, 17, 18: 4 to 5:30 open, 7 to 8 open, and 8 to 9 adult. June 19: 10 to 12 open, 2 to 4 open, 4 to 5 family or adult, 7 to 8 open, and EE Clean up continues 8 to 9 adult. June 20: 2 to 4 open, 7 to 8 open, and 8 to 9 adult. June 21 to 25: 4 to 5:30 open, 7 to 8 open, and 8 to 9 adult. There will be a new schedule posted at the pool and in the News in the future. Summer Swim Lessons: We are now accepting registration for the summer swim lessons. Lessons are held Mon- day to Friday. All pro- grams are held regardless of weather conditions. Limited registration due to pool regulations, so there- fore, please register early to avoid disappointment. Lessons are $7 per per- son or $18 per family. The deadline for July regis- tration is June 24. Lessons are provided for citizens who have a valid recreation membership. If you do not have full membership you may purchase a single ac- tivity for the Swimming Pool which is $15. Registration forms are available at the recreation office. Swim lessons are available to anyone who is at least four years of age before July 2. Children under four are welcome to join Mom and Tot with a parent. The Pool Staff is: Nina Procopovici, pool manag- er; Elizabeth Wenzell, ~ assistant manager; Jodi Bertin, guard/instructor; Danny O'Keefe, guard/in- structor; Karen Fournier, guard/instructor. Tot Lot: There will be a summer Tot Lot program this sum- mer. Tot Lot staff are: Janet Chappel, Susan Boucher, Heather Lohnes, and Cathy Olaveson. Tot Lot registration will be held June 21 to June 30. There will be a registration fee of $8 per person for the entire summer or $10 per family. Forms may be ob- tained at the recreation office. This fee will cover some of the cost of material on- ly. Pre-registration is ess- ential to enable staff to plan special events, outings, as well as the regular pro- gram. Tot Lot is divided into three age groups: 3 to 4 years, Ernie and Bert; 5 to 6:years old, Tot Lot; and 7 to 12 years old, Summer Day Camp. The program consists of crafts, visits, and active games. Watch for the Tot Lot staff children event as part of Canada Day. Youth Soccer: At the conclusion of the Minor Ball program we hope to introduce the sport of soccer to all ages. The youth soccer program would start on August 5. Drop by the office and fill in a registration form if you are interested. Minor Ball: Thank you to all the volunteers who are present- ly helping to run the Minor Ball Program. With your voluntary assistance, 170 youngsters are enjoying Slow Pitch and T-Ball this summer. It's great that Terrace Bay adults are con- cerned and willing to help the youth of this commun- ity.
