Drawing from the resources and personnel of Marathon Public School which has implemented "*Red Flag, Green Flag", staff reviewed several prevention programs. It was decided that "Feeling Yes, Feeling No'"' from the National Film Board of Canada would meet the needs of the pupils, parents, and staff of the school. Parents were introduced to the program at an infor- mation night earlier this year, and the response was ~ extremely positive and sup- portive, the release added. Presentations were made to the Grades 2 to 6 students inclusively in the initial year, and an adapted version will be used with the Grade 7 and 8 students. In subsequent years, the Grade 2 students will receive the intensive train- ing and the others will be given reinforcement through various follow-up activities. The objective of the 'Feeling Yes, Feeling No" Program is to give children skills that will help protect them from being sexually assaulted.
