Leo Laverne Phillips Passed away suddenly in Thunder Bay, on February 11, 1986. Born February 5, 1923 in Emo, Ontario, and raised in Fort Frances, he was the son of Zelma and Vic Phillips. He came to Terrace Bay to work for Kimberly Clark in 1948 and retired Surviving are his wife, Margaret, sons Lloyd of Tiverton, Kelly of Kincardine, Gord of Terrace Bay, daughters, Beverly Pear- son of Sault Ste. Marie, Shirley Engelmann of Thunder Bay and Norma Young of Tiverton. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, and sisters Leoma of Portland, Oregon, Zelma of Fort Frovices, Beatrice of International Falls, Maimie of Thunder Buy, and Lucille of Iron River, Wisconsin. Predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral services were held on February 14 at Terrace Bay Com- munity Church, at 2 p.m. with Reverend Lowry officiating. In- terment Terrace Bay Cemetery. The active pallbearers were Bob Weaver, Len Crockford, Maurice Osmar, John Santerre, Earl Glad and Marvin Osmar. The McPhails were once residents of Schreiber. Ernest was the Bank of Montreal manager and Dorothy was a wonderful supporter of the United Church and other com- munity organizations.
