No doubt you are all busy get- ting ready for Christmas. It seems like that day comes before we are ready. Some of us are ready, however. It only comes once a year so let's enjoy it. The residents here at Birchwood enjoyed a very lovely Christmas Tea hosted by our Ladies Aux- iliary who always do such a great job in everything they provide for our pleasure and comfort, so dear ladies on behalf of all the residents, please accept our grateful thanks. Yesterday our Christmas tree arrived, provided for us by Kimberly-Clark and again our grateful thanks. Also thanks to the three young folks who kindly saw to it that the tree was installed in our lounge. It was very thoughtful of them. Today the tree was decorated by our staff to the sounds of Christmas carols and this made for a very nice morning. Now our home dooks like a real Christmas fairy land. With the Christmas lights outside the town, Music by: 9 p.m. till 2 a.m. $20/couple Party Sound Terrace Bay Legion Br. 223 ~ and along with the snow, it makes it look like a Christmas card. It is with regret that we say "'Au Revoir" to Rolly and Jeanne Sinotte who are leaving to make their home in Thunder Bay. They will be missed. They are a very nice couple, and so we wish them all the best in their new home. Come back for a visit some time. Now I am sorry I have a "'bite" at this time of year. I have had several Phone calls and people have stopped me in town to ask me to put in this week for them, so here it is. I ask the hydro for their co- Operation, as it seems several street lights have been out for a few weeks now on Elizabeth Street, the residents there would very much like to have them fixed. I know it is not always nice in the cold weather to climb up poles but please, fellas, how about it?
