The residents here at Birchwood enjoyed a nice party the eve of Halloween which was hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary to Bir- chwood. A lovely game of charades was enjoyed by all. We then had the pleasure of listening to the music of Yvon Parasie and his family. Along with some older music, a few nice waltzes at the end of the evening a tasteful lunch was served by the Ladies auxiliary. Our grateful thanks to the Ladies and Mr. Parasie and his family. We are all missing the president of our Residence Council, Blanch Speck who is in Port Arthur General Hospital Thunder Bay, and we all wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her return. On Thursday afternoon we enjoyed a film in our Re ¢ room,..our activities director Joann Leblanc ar- ranged for us - it was most by Helene Ballard interesting and helped pass the afternoon, thank you Joann. Seems now our days are getting shorter therefore it gets dark earlier so a word to the wise - for children walking pleasle use care in crossing streets and the highway - and to drivers also use caution, you know children do not always think so we must look out for them.
