Last year we stepped out onto a very shaky limb, but as time went by we knew that limb was secure- ly attached to a very strong tree, it's roots stretching from Terrace Bay to Schreiber. Our heartful thanks goes out to Terrace Bay Legion members, and the generous Ladies Aux- iliary who made a dream of 3 yrs. hence into a special- ly equipped Brand New Bus for Birchwood Seniors in 1 short year. At this time of rejoicing and excitement a 'special thank you from us all, to everyone who advertised in the Wild Game Cook Book which was our first start on the road, to all who bought the Book, to the many organizations in the area who called to offer generous contributions, to our own 94 years old Emory Dusome, who gave what he could afford towards our new bus. To all the residents who work- ed so hard to sell the Cook Books, with the support of surrounding communities. To Birchwood Ladies Aux- iliary who helped get the Book on the road. To our benevolent benefactor Santa Claus, whoever you are for the generous donation last Christmas of $500.00. You will be very happy to know that every donation will be used towards picnic equip- ment, portable tables, special chairs, blankets, pillows, coffee and tea urns, coolers, portable B.B.Q, so many extras needed so that our people can go anywhere in com- fort and style and enjoy the years to come. You have all given us a rejuvenating boost. Let it be known that "If you wish upon a star, though it be a billion miles away, dreams really do come true." God Bless and be with you all Terrace Bay and Schreiber. Give us a toot when you see us on the road. A special need was met through a great com- munity spirit and thanks again Terrace Bay and Schreiber, everyone who made our dreams come true.
