I hope you nice people are all well. I guess that lit- tle thunder storm we had last night helped clear the air, it's really nice and warm out, I even saw geese flying north today so it looks like at last our long awaited spring has arrived. We have had another nice week here at Bir- chwood. Last Thursday the llth we were guests of Jean Marcella at the Ter- race Bay~ Library where Jean showed us a film and then served us tea and cookies. We are most grateful to her and want to say "Thank you". Jean promised to try and have+ more of the same for us. Last 'week we had our monthly birthday- party for the residents who have April birthdays. We also had a penny auction. This always seems to be a crowd pleaser the residents always enjoy. On behalf of the residents I would like to thank our party hostesses by Helene Ballard who were the C.W.L. of St. Martins Church. These ladies always give so much of their time and effort to do these things for our en- joyment, thank you ladies. While I am_ thanking people please let me thank the Ladies Institute of Schreiber for their gift of apples. They were enjoyed by all-here. We are always grateful for these gifts and helping hands given to Bir- chwood by our many friends. Our activities director Joan LeBlanc is home and we hope she is feeling ever so much better after her surgery. Do hurry and get well Joan we look forward, to having you back, we miss you. Well, I guess our winter games are about over for another season so guess it's time for soft ball and baseball, so let's encourage our players, try and get out to watch our teams as often as we can and "good luck". : Row: Maurice Mousseau, Ray Husband, Ross Mitchell, Mr. D.A. Locking (teacher). 5th Row: Mavis MacFadyn, Helen Laundy. Other school photos of the 1950s can be seen in the library's school album. a Thank you to the kind folks who brought us egg boxes for our plastic flowers, and keep them coming. I was asked how come I have had no bites for a while, well when folks bring some to my attention I check them out and then write about them. So, if any of you folks out there let me know your bite, I'll write about it. My phone no. is 5-3690. So until next week remember this: "Just when you think you can make ends meet, somebody moves the ends." Cheerio.
