We will also be setting a date in the near future to meet with in- ae % > Liberal candidate, Michael Power campaigning in Terrace Bay. Power says 'roads dreadful' "Roads of all kinds are so important to this riding," said Michael Power, Liberal Candidate in Lake Nipigon after his second week on the cam- paign trail. Mr. Power spent 3 days of last week visiting many of the communities on the far west side of Thunder Bay. "Some of the roads into these communities are absolutely dreadful," said Power. For many years as Mayor of Geraldton and board member of municipal associations Power has fought for more money for better roads for the whole region. This in- cludes links between highways 11 and 17, more passing lanes on highway 17 and much better. access into many of the smaller settlements. "Some of these communities are clmost cut off during break-up,"' he said, "Also, more money should be available from Ministry of Transport for municipal roads."' Power spent the latter part of the week in Marathon where David Peterson, leader of the On- tario Liberal Party paid a visit Friday, afternoon. Saturday was spent meeting the electorate in this rapidly. expanding town. Travelling to Thunder Bay? Stay With Us! ® Seating Capacity 110 $30.95 single for 2 $35.95 double for 2 Breakfast Special!
