There will be an atten- dant to display and sell any used equipment for either indoor or outdoor sports. Those submitting any ar- ticles for this sale are ask- ed to be sure and tag the ar- ticle with their.name and phone number. These articles must be dropped off at the recrea- tion centre on Friday even- ing March Ist. The Sale will take place in the multi purpose room on Saturday March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. Cross Country Ski Club There are a few persons who have shown an interest in forming a Cross Coun- try Ski Club. If you are in- terested please call the Recreation Office at 3542. Programs Aerobics Advanced (Lise Demers) Those interested in tak- ing part in an advanced Aerobics Class with Jazz Dancing as part of the course are asked to call the Recreation Office and register. This course will be held on a Monday night in the Multi-Purpose Room at the centre and Thursday night at the Public School from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. This course is due to com- mence on Monday March 18. deadline is March 13. Basic Cake Decorating: (Judy Simons) Learn how to mix the ic- ing and do basic borders and decorative flowers. This course will take place in the Home Economics Room of the High School on March 22nd and 23rd. Friday night from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please register before March 8th so supplies can be ordered. Call 3542 today. Chain Saw Filing We still have openings for more registration in this 6 hour course on the maintenance of chain saws. This course is scheduled for April 13 in the Multi Purpose Room. Dancersize for- Kids: (Cathy Stachiw) The Recreation Commit- tee will be offering another session of Dancersize for Kids. A prerequisite of this course is that your child will have had to take the last session which ran from January 27th to February 27th. The new session will commence on March 20th and finish on April 24th. There will be a small recital at the conclusion of this course. Dog Obedience: Skula) Correction to last week's article. Your dog must be housebroken, have receiv- ed their shots and be ap- proximately 6 months old or older. Red Cross Swim Lessons: In Marathon This is an opportunity for all youth involved in Red Cross Swim lessons to progress further in their levels of swimming before our-swimming starts in Ju- ly. Sewing for your child | » (Ministry of Food and Agriculture) This course will take place on April 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Home Economics Room at the High School. Learn sewing techniques for babies and toddlers. Knit fabrics will be featured, also construction of T-shirts, sleepware, jumpers, overalls and pants. Teenage Makeup: (Melody Mateev) This two or three hour course will be held to demonstrate to girls bet- ween the ages of 12 to 16 how to apply makeup pro- perly. Lady Finelle pro- ducts will be demonstrated. Call the Recreation Office today at 3542 to register. Babysitting Course We are still waiting for information to come from Thunder Bay, before we can get this course going. Youth Bowling Special On Saturday February 23 we are having a bowl- ing competition for fun bet- ween the youth bowlers and their parents. If mom or dad cannot come with their youths, they can bring another adult or there will be some adults in atten- dance who will play with them.
