Reverend Bill Le- Grand of St. John's An- gligan Church, Schrei- ber was ordained to the Priesthood on June 19th. Many local resi- dents travelled to St. John's Church, Thun- der Bay, to support Rev. | LeGrand at his ordina- tion. The colourful and moving ceremony was enhanced by the ex- ceptional choral direct- ion and musical abili- ties of J. Futhey. The Rt. Rev. Lesley Peter- son, Bishop: of Algoma, ordained Rev. LeGrand and the Rev. Robert Russell of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Thun- der Bay. Prior to the Service of Ordination, a formal dinner for the Ordinands and their families was hosted by St. Michaels and All Angels Church. An informal reception followed the service at St. Thomas Church. Rev. LeGrand is fami- liar to many in the area, having been Deacon at St. John's, Schreiber, since January of this year. He completed his Master of Divinity stud- ies at Huron College, London in December of 1983. He was ordained Deacon in London on May 12, 1983. Prior to beginning seminary stu- dies, Bill and his wife Anne Marie were teach- ers in Manitouwadge, A reception for Rev. LeGrand was held June 24th at St. John's Church, Schreiber.
