We visited the old Museum and had fun playing on the old pianos and taking in "'by-gone days'? mem- orabilia. It was a fun day and enjoyed by all. October 14th was a retirement dinner for Peggy Smith. She has been night nurse at Birchwood since day one - The Board of Man- agement (Mr. M. Vibert) presented Peggy with a lovely necklace and the drop stone of Lake Superior Agate beautifully carved. The Staff gave her a camera that does everything but speak and an album with pictures of her co- workers and residents. We miss you Peggy, enjoy your retirement. A long and happy one! At Hallowe'en, Father Pottie and 22 of his children and mother, joined us in a rollicking costume party - bobbing for apples and a great sing-song.
