"Oldtimers" sponsor Hockey Clinic Physiotherapist Bill Glassier instructs the Atoms on proper warm-up exercises. The purpose of these warm-up exercises are to prevent serious player injury. by MIKE MOORE The weekend of No- vember 6th and 7th saw' the Terrace Bay "Quin- ard Ltd." Oldtimers host a clinic for approxi- mately 60 Terrace Bay Minor Hockey players. The Clinic had the players grouped in their divisions and each group received both on ice and off-ice instruction. Training films and drill practices were provided by Dave Fitzpatrick of Hockey Ontario. Local Physiotherapist Bill Glassier gave the play- ers instruction on pro- per warm-up exercises. The Oldtimers provided on-ice instruction in of- fensive, defensive play and goal tending. Mrs. Bunny Singleton took each of the groups through a series of powerskating drills. The Sunday sessions consisted of a short scrimmage and a crowd pleasing "Show Down" event for each group. Three players and a goaltender were select- ed from each group for the "Showdown Final."'
