The butterflies did not last too long for the Schreiber team, as Dom "*Hollywood" Filane fought the first match of the day, and knocked his opponent, Shawn Le- Brun, of Timmins out, in the first ten seconds of the first round. Once again, proving why he was picked as Schrei- ber's 'Boxer of the Year"! Schreiber's Paul An- derson showed his stuff in his first fight, and started his career out right by winning a un- animous decision over Timmin's Dan Lariviere. In the next bout, Schreiber boxer, Rick Morgan took a severe pounding from Tim- min's Dan Price in the first round, but came out flying in the second to knock Price out. Gerry Filane of Schreiber had the roughest fight of the day as he and Timmins' Rick Gillnette, staged a pier-six brawl to the delight of the crowd. Fi- ged, and out-muscled Timmins' Dino Amadeo in a middleweight bout. Evoy won a unanimous decision. , Schreiber's Mario Vasilu got caught early in the second round of his welterweight fight with Timmins' Mike Corshane. Corshane caught Mario behind the ear with a straight left and the referee fearing injury, stopped the bout. The Schreiber team was very happy with the officiating and the hos- pitality shown by the Timmins people.
