Catch the Scouting Spirit Everyone thinks of the boys in the scouting movement but without the volunteers, nothing would happen. Many volunteers become active in scouting to repay the time and ef- fort other adults spent when they themselves were boys in Scouting. Other volunteers join because their sons are currently in the move- ment. Whatever the reason the boy movement could not exist without these volunteers. We in Terrace Bay are very pleased to announce that there are many boys who wish to join our Beavers (ages 5-7), Cubs (ages 8-10), and Scouts (ages 11-14) programmes. We are concerned however, that we cannot find people in some areas who are willing to volunteer their time to provide leadership to these -boys. Can you help? Be a _ volunteer! Their smiles will be your reward. No experience is necessary and training will be provided. Our scouting pro- gramme begins the week of September 12th: SCOUTS - Tuesday from 7-9 -p.m.;--- CUBS. = Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.;, BEAVERS - Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Registration will take place on September 19th, 1983 at 7:00 p.m. in the Scout Hall. Boys must be accom- panied by at least one parent/guardian. If you have any old uniforms that you wish to trade or sell please bring them on Registration Night. For more information about scouting please call Don Pawlett at 825-3580. Ombudsman to visit Schreiber Ontario's Temporary Ombudsman, Frank E.
