Sn Se community news Caramat Community - Family Entertainment Show This family show from the Amateur Caramat Theatre will be performing in ~Terrace ..Bay' on Sunday August 7th, from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Terrace Bay Curling Club. This 90 minute show provides unique | entertainment for all ages and the emphasis is on family togetherness. The ages of the performers vary from 6 to 40 and- family entertainment in the form of skits, songs etc. is provided. Be sure to bring your family out for an evening of fun and family togetherness. David Peterson to visit David Peterson, Liberal Leader of the Opposition at Queen's Park, is currently touring across Northwestern Ontario. Plans have been made for his tour to stop off at various towns across the Northwest, including Dryden, Fort Frances, Thunder Bay, Nipigon, Red Rock, Schreiber, Terrace Bay, Marathon and Wawa. He is scheduled to stop in Schreiber on August 6th, where he will get a chance to meet with many of his supporters during a luncheon which is being given in his honour. Report On July 23 at about 7:00 in the evening, a Motorways transport left the highway west of Rainbow Falls - Provincial Park. The Transport was westbound and was hauling two trailers. The second trailer turned over on its left side as the unit was rounding a curve. The trailer took out twelve guard posts and was totally. demolished. OPP said that no charges have been laid against driver Mark Crewdson of Thunder Bay. The driver suffered no injuries, but the trailer's cargo of glass and auto parts was severely damaged. On July 20 two individuals were charged under the Narcotics Control Act. Charges under section 42 (trafficking) and section 31 (possession) were laid \ - Tournament * Saturday, after an extensive investigation by the Schreiber Detach- ment. The accused were held at the Schreiber Detachment until the conclusion of the investigation and will appear in Provincial Court, Criminal Division on August 24. The OPP report that they have received several complaints about water skiiers coming too close to swimmers and swimming areas on White Sand and Walker's Lake. Boat Owners and skiiers are asked ~-- to pay particular attention to the safety of swimmers and are reminded that it is an offense under the Criminal Code to operate a vessel: in a dangerous manner.
