Intermediate Hockey Club Ann Condie The Terrace Bay Recreation Committee are accepting applications for gy. Trades training is presently going on in Geraldton and the pro- gram will probably be cut back. Men are train- ed under the program to use equipment and skills for the forestry indust- ry. The Council decided to support Geraldton in its protest against the cut back in funds for trades training, and a letter indicating this support will be sent to the Mayor of Geraldton and the Minister. The Rossport Fish Derby Committee re- quested financial help from the Council to help put on the Derby again this year. The Council decided to donate $50 on a Motion by Councillor Larry Dunwoody, §sec- onded by Councillor Burton Phillips. The Cubs and Beav- ers requested free use of the Town Hall. The re- quest was granted. The Council received a letter from the Dist- rict Child Welfare Bud- get Board requesting the name of a Council- lor willing to stand for nomination to the Board. Councillor Ed -- Borutski's name will be forwarded to stand for election to the Budget Board. Accounts General accounts for $31,912.52 and Water Works accounts for $24,740.61 were appro- ved. Business The Council establish- ed a $5.00 an hour pay rate for temporary part time employees. On a Motion by Coun- cillor Burton Phillips, seconded by Councillor Larry Dunwoody, the Council approved the sale of Lot 2, plan 826, section 6, known as 225 Drummond Street by Mr.» Y. Carrier. The property was sold by tender and the bid was McCausland Auxiliary annual meeting The Annual Meeting of the Auxiliary to the McCausland Hospital was held on Monday, April 18 in the Schreiber High School. Election of the Officers for the com- ing year was held and the new executive con- sists of President - Daphne Monks, First Vice Presdient - Doris Walton, Second Vice President - Marilyn Chisholm, Secretary - Lori Strassburger, Trea- surer - Norma Crock- ford, Corresponding Secretary - Gurbochan Sidhu, and Past Presi- dent - Christine Handy. Annual Reports were turned in showing an- other successful year for the Auxiliary. The Aux- iliary will be once again making a sizeable con- tribution towards the purchase of new equip- ment for the hospital. taking a table at the Flea Market to be held May 14 and good used arti- cles are needed for sale.
