McCausland Hospital Auxiliary The Annual Meeting of the Auxiliary of the McCausland Hospital will be held on Monday, April 8 in the high school library in Schrei- ber at 8 p.m. Election for officers for the coming year will be held and anyone in- terested in serving should plan on attend- ing. Playing with her were Dean Fischer, third, Judy Davis, second and Peter Prinselaar, lead. In regular school curl- ing the girls and boys trophies were won by Nancy Armstrong's rink, with Pam Nesbitt, Diana Madge and alter- nating spares. Peter Gerow's rink won for the boys with Robert Bouchard, Tom- my Bouchard and Ray- mond Goodchild. Twel- ve rinks took part. Mr. Mike Reid and his assistant recently visited Holy Angels School in Schreiber to conduct a 'Brush In'. Classes from kinder- garten to Grade four were involved in the dental health program which will over a period of time show the effects of fluoride on tooth ena- mel. Looking back... The Ladies Auxiliary of the Community Church met Monday evening with Mrs. Barb Wise presiding. Mrs. Lil Harris read the scriptures and Mrs. Marilyn Chisholm played for the hymn. Mrs. Pam Jones read the minutes and cor- respondence. It was de- cided to make a $25 donation to the local Cancer Society. Mrs. Farrow gave the Trea- surer's report and Mrs. Lundberg reported on the success of the St. Patrick's Day Bridge Party. Mr. Bob Cressman, Supervising Principal of the elementary schools, gave an informal talk on "Modern trends in Edu- cation.' He asked for questions and opinions from the members and explained trends towards the Open Con- ceot school, letting children advance at their own speed and disci- pline in the classroom. His talk was thoroughly enjoyed by all those pre- sent.
