Page 6, Terrace Bay-Schreiber News, Wednesday, March 30, 1983 Terrace Bay CWL by MARYLYN TURCOTTE The regular monthly meeting of the CWL was held on Monday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting was opened with a prayer and a scripture reading. Sharyn Legall re- ported on the World Day of Prayer which was held this year at the Terrace Bay Community Church. The event was a wonderful success and was very well attended. Lillian Beliveau re- ported on the CWL con- stitution meeting which was held on Thursday, at St. Martin of Tours Church. The meeting was attended by ladies of both St. Martin's and Holy Angel's CWL Councils. The purpose of this meeting was to go over all proposed changes of the CWL constitution. These changes are to be voted on at the CWL Diocese- an Convention to be held in Thunder Bay in May. Marylyn Turcotte gave a report on infor- mation received from Amnesty International. Evelyn Falzetta will be our representative for Amnesty International. Kathleen Mikkonnen will be the Nominations Convenor this year. She and her committee will be phoning all CWL members looking for people to let their names stand for the various Council positions. -Any- one wanting information concerning Council posi- tion or Convenorships, please call Kathleen. Linda Rochon will be the Convenor for the "Travelling Shrine of Mary."' This will begin on Sunday, March 27, and will run until the end of May, and possib- ly longer. Members must sign up in order to have the Shrine in their homes. Each person will have the Shrine for three days and will say the Rosary each day for World Peace. The Shrine will be passed to the next person and so on. For information, please call Linda Rochon. This event will help us mark the beginning of the 'Holy Year' or 'Jubilee Year' as set out by Pope John Paul II. Claire Roen will be the Convenor of the Harvest Festival Bazaar for 1983. We will begin having craft sessions each Friday afternoon from 1 p-m. to 3 p.m. in St. Martin's Church Hall. These will begin Friday, March 18. All are invit- ed to attend. Bring along any new craft ideas you may have. The crafts made will be for our next Bazaar. A box marked CWL will be placed in the back of St. Martin's Church. This will be for any materials people may wish to donate to our Fall Bazaar. Wool, material, etc. Anyone wishing to knit for the Bazaar please call Anna McKie. The meeting was adjourned and closed with a prayer. Following the meeting the Pathfinders present- ed a slide show of their recent trip to Mexico. The pictures were lovely, so interesting and very much enjoyed by all.
