The meeting open- ed with a prayer. Kay Stefurak welcomed everyone and a special welcome was given to Mrs. Denise Moon a new member. Sister Marvel gave the scripture reading. Billie Anne Saarinen read the minutes of the last meeting, executive meeting and the cor- respondence. Roxanne McLellan gave the Trea- surer's report. Con- venors gave their re- ports. The World Day of Prayer will be held March 4 in the Anglican Church. There were dis- cussions on the St. Pat- tick's Day Tea and No- minations. Father Groulx ex- plained some of the upcoming events at the Church. The meeting closed with a prayer. After the meeting the movie "Our Lady of Fatima" was shown. -- Coaches Kara Klassen and Rita Thibault line their students up on the mats as part of the Saturday afternoon basic gymnastics offered at the high school by the Schreiber Parks and Recreation. The three level course takes in an enthusiastic group of youngsters ranging in age from three to thirteen. TRIVIA Ghost Riders In The Sky Crash tests reveal that handi- capped persons riding in wheel- chairs inside vans face serious in- jury because of inadequate re- straints even in collisions at less than 30 mph. The tests showed that typical wheelchair restraints offer no protection. Library Notes 1982 marked the 100th anniversary of the passage of the Free Libraries Act in Ontario and the 80th Conference of the Ontario Library Association. Special grants were made available by the Ministry of Citizenship and Culture to carry out special projects to cele- brate this occasion. The Terrace Bay Pub- lic Library was a recip- ient of one of these grants in the amount of $840.
