The Terrace Bay li- brary originally started out in a little room in what is now the Moose Hall. The Hall was ori- ginally the Recreation building used during the mill construction. "'It then moved to a little room in back of what is now Churchley Jewel- lers. Then it went to the Recreation Centre when that was constructed and this is the third room we have been in in this building. While the Recreation Centre was being renovated we had 'the fun of running the library out of the double wide trailers that are now Dr. Adey's office. We are very pleased with these new quarters, they offer everything we could ask for."' The library moved in- to its new facilities in the Recreation Centre two years ago. It now houses some 17,000 volumes. The books have been chosen to provide library service to the wide range of interests found in a small community like Terrace Bay. Books are available on virtually every subject and if they aren't on the shelves they can be provided through the Inter-Li- brary Loan system from anywhere in Canada. "We get books from Alberta and British Columbia. We also have some 3,000 books from the Regional Library and we have the use of the National Film Library depot in Thunder Bay.
