OSHAWA CRIPPLED CHILDREN'S SCHOOL AND CLINIC BLOOR STRZET EAST OSHAWA RETARDED CHILDREN SCHOOL AND WORKSHOP SIMCOE STREET SOUTH Ninety-nine handicapped children are treated at the Crippled Children's Clinic and School. A child attends the School because his handicaps are too limiting to permit participation in a regular school program. Fifty-one Volunteers contribute over 4,000 hours a year to help these : os kids. Three out of every hundred children are retard- ed in some way. There is a Shelterd Workshop and Training Centre which employs 25 trainees who are 18 years of age and over. These people have graduated from the Glenholme school and are currently doing small printing jobs, duplicating, envelope stuffing and some craft work which they offer for sale.
