GROUP'S FIRST VISIT HERE JOHNNY VICTORY LIVES UP TO NAME BBG Slated To Hear Of Plans For Four New Radio Stations OTTAWA (CP) -- Proposals for four new radio stations, a string of television rebroadcast- ing stations and an application to set up a private TV network head the agenda for the Board of Broadcast Governors meet- ing April 26, it was announced Ken Soble of CHCH TV in Hamilton is proposing the pri- vate TV network. He was un- successful recently in seeking a delay in a bid by affiliates of the privately-owned CTV net- work to buy it. Mr. Soble proposes a network in which he would share owner- ship with Power Corp. of Can- ada. The new radio stations, all AM (amplitude modulation) are proposed for New Liskeard, Ont., Corner Brook, Nfid., Sher- brooke, Que., and Osoyoos, B.C. The New Liskeard station would be fed its programs by CJKL in Kirkland Lake. Linked with the Sherbrooke bid for a new station, by Jean Nadon, is one by CHLT in that community to drop its affilia- tion with the CBC and operate as an independent private sta- rg A wee "Breain ot Sécotland" blows into Oshawa on April 11. The Old Country show is made up of an extremely talented cast of Scottish musicians, dan- cers, comedians and singers. "Breath Of: Scotland'"' will be performed at the Civic Auditor- ium. Tickets for the performance are already on sale. The show's visit to Oshawa ts being sponsored by the local branch of the St:. Andrew's So- ciety. The troupe of Scottish per- formers is on an extended frorth American tour. DON'T MISS IT According to Auditorium man- ager William Kurelo, the show is not to be missed. Scottish music and_ song, which has an- international ap- peal, is the mainstay of the show. Apart from the toe-tap- ping routines there will be plenty of comedy too. Massey Hall in Toronto has been packed to the rafters in previous years when the show stopped off. The April 11 visit to Oshawa will be the troupe's first stop- off in this city.
