The deceased, who had been seriously ill for two weeks, was in his 78th year. Born at Nestleton, Mr. Gor- don was a son of the late James and Agnes Gordon. He was edu- leated at Nestleton and was married in Toronto Jan. 1, 1913. A resident of Oshawa for 39 years, he lived in Toronto for a few years as well as at Nestleton. Prior to his retire- ment eight years ago, he was employed by General Motors as a pattern maker for 31 years. Mr. Gordon was a member of Nestleton United Church. During his residence here he attended Northminster United Church. He was a member of Branch 43, Royal Canadian Le- gion and the Oshawa Golden Age Club. During the First World War with the 136th Battalion. Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, the former Alice Maude Wilson; a daughter, Mrs. E.
