Second World War, died in hospital here Saturday. H Gen Murchie had heen in re- tirement here since 1947. He was appointed chief of the Canadian genera: ~air an may, 1944 and left the command in August, 1945. For the next two ;years he handled repatriation of Canadian troops as chief of staff at-Canadian Army headquarters in London.
