Charles Catto minister of Hampton United Church delivered an. ap- propriate message and offered prayer to open the deliberations of the Darlington Township Council at its inaugural meet- ing last week. Committees for 1966 were named as follows: finance -- C. Down, Mrs. M. Budai and Reeve Blanchard; roads -- Deputy Reeve H. Muir, R. Gibbs and Reeve Blanchard; bylaws and legislation -- Mrs. M. Budai, H. Muir and A. Blanchard; public properfy and agriculture -- R. Gibbs, C. Down and Reeve Blanchard; committee of adjustment--S. E. White, R. DeCoe, W. Pascoe, Mrs. Ron Clemens and Harold Watson; industrial committee -- Robert Stevens, W. Henry, Har- old Balson, Harry Gay, W. Par- rinder and D. G. Kemp. Roy McGill was reappointed for a three-year term on the planning board.
