6 'THE OSHAWA TIMES, Monday, November 1, 1965 TOP PETES, BOW TO HAWKS Gens Suiier i By FRANK RATCLIFFE Oshawa Generals last night were relieved of a burden -- one which they would much rather bear, Generals are no longer under the pressure of rotecting an unbeaten streak lollowing a 6-4 loss to St. Cath- arines Black Hawks in St. Catharines. The defeat followed a 5-3 vic- tory over Peterborough Petes in Oshawa on Saturday, and left Generals tied for first place with Niagara Falls Flyers. Both have 11 points but Niagara Falls has played two fewer games, IN 8ST, KITTS Bob Sicinski led the Black Hawks scoring attack with three goals. Newcomer Terry Bond added a pair and Doug Shelton netted the other, While the trio was busy blast- ing pucks by Oshawa goaltend- er Ian Young, another Black Hawk was blasting every mov- ing object that blocked his pro- gress -- including a few Hawks, Gary MacMillan, who plays hockey like an Eddie Shack with a small nose, didn't appear in the scoring columns, but he gave the club a lift every time he stepped onto the ice, Mac- BILLY LITTLE tacker, but Generals were un- able to narrow the gap.
