6 THE OSHAWA: TIMES, Fridey, June 25, 1965 ISPORTS MENU By Geo. H. Campbell SPORTS EDITOR verything From Soup To Nuts' LACROSSE FANS, and right now this city has a huge contingent of same, not to mention the loyal followings enjoyed by both the Whitby Junior "B" and Brooklin's Senior '"'A" teams, have a chance to see the undefeated Brooklin senior squad add to their win total, when they play Huntsville, here at the Oshawa Children's Arena to- "morrow night. They're putting a new floor in the Brooklin Community Arena and they had hoped to have it ready for Saturday night's schedule fixture, however, this didn't pan out. Brooklin has been playing their home games to date, in the Whitby Arena, but on the assumption that Brooklin would be in their own box, the Whitby Arena was rented for tomorrow night, several weeks ago. Oshawa's Civic Audi- -torium was also unavailable, so arrangements were made to "Splay the game here, in the Oshawa Children's Arena. It's "an 8:30 o'clock attraction and should draw very well, since the Huntsville roster includes several former members of 'the Oshawa Green Gaels, while the powerful Brooklin club, 'so far making a runaway of the OLA Senior "A" race, is already looming as the team to represent the East this year in the Mann Cup finals. Other than the odd exhibition game, 'local sport fans haven't had a chance to see a senior brand "lacrosse game in Oshawa, since Oshawa Arena burned down. "Green Gaels are drawing an average of 1,000 fans per game, "according to coach Jim'Bishop. Many of these rooters will «no doubt take in the Brooklin-Huntsville game here tomor- row night, They'll have a chance to compare the dazzling "speed and "running game" employed by Green Gaels to the more methodical but certainly much sterner brand found in the senior ranks.
