Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an im- ported French satin brocade formal gown with a bateau neckline, lily-point sleeves, and fitted bodice. The skirt was straight in the front with slight- ly gathered sides and back. Seed pearls and crystals were scattered over the entire dress. Her crown of seed pearls held her bouffant, finger-tip veil of silk net and she carried a bou- quet of white chrysanthemums and hyacinths studded with pink rosebuds, The maid of honor was Miss Arlene Massey, sister of the bride and the other attendants were Mrs. William Merritt, Osh- awa, and Miss Cathie Camp- bell, Etobicoke. They were dressed alike in formal gowns of American beauty delustered satin featuring sleeveless fitted bodices with scoop necklines. The skirts were straight in the front and backs and slightly gathered at the sides. Match- ing waist-length jackets ' but- toned down the backs, featuring elbow-length sleeves and round necklines, completed the gowns. The junior bridesmaid was the bride's niece, Miss Janis Tomkinson, Weston and the flower girl was the bridegroom's cousin, Miss Sandra McEwan, Oshawa. They were dressed alike in formal gowns of deep pink delustered satin featuring fitted .bodiges, softhy pleated skirts, round necklines and short sleeves. All their head- dresses were matching flat self bows and all carried nosegays of white chrysanthemums sur- rounding white roses. The best man was Mr. Thom- as Howard, Etobicoke, and the ushers were Mr. Robert How- ard, Etobicoke and the brother of the bridegroom, Mr. David MacDonald, Islington. The reception was held at_the Tri-Bell Four Winds Club, To- ronto, where the bride's mother received, wearing a light blue crepe sheath with a lace top, a shaded pink flowered hat an black patent accessories. Her corsage of pink roses with sprigs of white hyacinths com- plemented her ensemble. The bridegroom's mother assisted, wearing a deep turquoise sheath of peau de soie with matching accessories and a corsage of similar flowers. As the couple left for their honeymoon to the Laurentians, Vermont and New York City the bride was wearing an ivory wool sheath trimmed in cran- berry color, cranberry hat, black accessories and a cor- sage of colored roses with white hyacinths.
