PUC USES 53-PASSENGER DIESELS IN SERVICE Two 53-. passenger Diesel > busés of this type were pur- chased by Oshawa's PUC in 1964 to meet transportation problems brought on by in- creasing population. Last year, 3,165,828 passengers rode city buses, a decrease of 97,394 from the. previous year; but PUC buses in 1964 traveiie1 839,527 miles com- pared with 831,909 miles in 1963.
