Holmes told the annual meeting of Harmony United Church recently he offi- ciated at 12 weddings, 53 bap- tisms and 16 funerals in 1964. He reported that 29 persons were received into the church on profession of faith and 29 on transfer of membership bring- ing the congregation member- ship to 541. A brief memorial service was held for the members who passed away during the year -- Charles Nichols, Ross Ed- wards, David Bracey, Charles Mackie, James Beale, James T. Sleeman and Mrs. Edna Fountain. The Sunday School secretary reported an average attend- ance of 275 with 19 teachers @nd three officers. A new cur- réculum was introduced into the Sunday School during the year with favorable comments from the congregation regarding the new method of teaching. The United Church Women re- ported another successful year holding 10 regular meetings. Money-making projects which provided fellowship and good times were a fall bazaar, tur- key dinner and catering to wed- dings. Each unit had its own projects. Reports of Guides, Brownies, CGIT, Explorers, Cubs and Scouts were received with in- terest.
