He married his third wife, the for- mer Greta Lindsay, Dec. 24, 1946, in Oshawa. He is survived by his wife, a son, Harold, of Oshawa, a sister, Mrs. Maud: Dowson of Oshawa Rev. L. W. Herbert of King Street United Church will con- duct funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 at the McIntosh- Anderson funeral home. Inter- ment will be in McNeil Ceme- tery, Wick. An IOOF service will be held at the funeral home at 7 p.m Thursday. DONALD JAMES JACKSON Donald James S. Jackson, son of Mrs. Matthew M. -Jackson (Betty), and the late Matthew M. Jackson, 1560 Botsford St., Ottawa, in his 34th year, died Monday, October 26, after a lenghty illness in Ottawa Civic Hospital. The late Mr. Jackson was born in Oshawa, attended, Oshawa _ Pubilc Schools, the' O'Neill Collegiate and. was a graduate of Carlton College, Ot- tawa. He taught school in Ottawa, became Principal of Blossom Park Public School, Ottawa. He was a Teacher Placement ist in the Department of North- ern Affairs, Ottawa. Later he joined the Depart- ment of Trade and Commerce and served on the small busi- ness board of that department. Latterly he became principal of Woolsey Hall Canada Univer- sity Extension course. While liv- ing in Oshawa the late Mr. Jackson was an active member of St. George's Anglican Church and the Oshawa Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Prince of Wales Lodge, AF and AM, Ottawa, and the Ottawa Valley Lodge of Perfection (Scottish Rite). His father, Matthew Jackson and his family, moved from Osh- awa to Ottawa in 1951. It will be remembered. that the late Matthew Jackson was for many years in--the Customs Branch in Oshawa and later was Di- rector of Investigation in the Ottawa Customs and Excise Branch. The survivors of the deceas- ed are his widow, Shirley Anne Spratt, two daughters, Karen and Susan, and one son, Brian. The deceased was a nephew of Margaret (Peggy) Jackson and James J. Jackson, Park' road north, Oshawa.
