POLISH YOUTH PRESENTS OLD-WORLD CHARM OF THE POLONAISE The Polish community in Oshawa took a Mae | active part in the Oshawa Folk Fes- tival's Dominion Day celebra- tions, held in Alexandra Park. A beautifully decorated float was entered in the parade. At the park, Polish cookery was in evidence, and at the evening concert, the Polonaise was danced by a most ex- quisitely costumed group, trained by George Fras. A great deal of labor and enthus- iasm went into this outstand- ing display, and the credit for this must go to Mr, Wal- ter Naklicki, who is co-chair- man of the United Council of Polish Organizations in Osh- awa, and who was in charge of the program presented by the Polish community. Seen with their partners behind them are the young people who danced the Polonaise. They are members of the Youth Organization sponsored py the Polish Union of Can- ada, Branch 7, in Oshawa: Regina Gardzinski, Joe Fras, Mimi Wiatrzyk, Benny Jago- da, Irena Wojtasiewicz, Henry Reculski, Jessie Wardach, Ted Jordan, Christine Patar- ek, Joe Zimny, Theresa Zmudzki, Steve Balko, Wanda Kalata, Eddy Derlotka, Chris- tine Borun and Joe Lipiec.
