THIRD GOAL DOES IT By CLIFF GORDON PORT CREDIT -- Brooklin Sr Lacrosse Club climbed back into! a first place with St, Catharines 'A's last night as they edged the Port Credit Sailors 12-11 in Port Credit. The same two teams will be right back here at the Brooklin arena tomorrow night, and it should be a scorch er as there is no love lost be- tween these combatants now. Fleet-footed Grant Heffernan scored the winner for the Brooklin team with just 32 sec- onds of play remaining. It was his third goal of the ae and climaxed a fine all-round fort for the big fellow. Playing coach Ken Crawford, Don Craggs and Ken Ruttan each scored two goals for the Brooklin team. Singles were racked up by Jerry Borrows, match penalty Doug Vipond and capiain Glenn Lotton. Paul Henderson paced the Tar Boys with three goals and was the only repeat scorer for the losers. Aces were chalked up by George Olah, Pete Ruse, George McGaffey, Chub Brown, Flory Tomichishen, Ccrry Ahearne, Red McCracken and Doug Holi- day. There were a total of 23 pen- alties handed out in the keenly- played contest, with Brooklin taking 13 minors.
