Sir Harry's body was found the morning of July 8, 1943, in the bedroom of his Bahamas mansion. Here Oakes is seen with his daugh- ter Nancy at Palm Beach, Fla., in 1940, Nancy's hus- band, Alfred de Marigny, was tried for the murder and ac- quitted. They later were di- vorced and Nancy remarried and divorced again. Sir Harry began his fortune with dis- covery of gold in Northern Ontario.
