There were pi- ano solos by Elizabetl. Lambert and Karen Susanne Arsenault 'sang 'Somewhere Over the 'Rainbow'; Barbara on "Why I Like to Read"; Lambert danced a Highland : Fling. Eight girls made up a set for a square dance, and the} whole pack sang two songs. . The ladies also heard the : students who competed in the en! Inspectorate Public Speaking contest, Shelléy Fisher spoke Janet Waddington's subject was "Sir Alexander Graham Bell", and Anne Bishop spoke on "Travel Is Interesting"'. TO REMAIN DORMANT It was decided that the Max- well Heights Home and School Asseciation should remain dor- mant for a period of two years, at which time it may be re- newed if there are enough in- terested parents, Meanwhile, a committee of mothers will be formed to arrange for any help the teachers may need for open house, field day, the skating party, the graduation dinner, or whatever they wish to plan. The boys enjoyed a hike in Glen Glaspell's woods, with a tour of the animals and equip- ment in the barn, The boys earned $4.97 as a contribution to the Jock Hamil- ton Fund by doing odd jobs at home. over the Easter holidays. COUPLE HONORED Mr. and Mrs. Foster Snowden, life-long residents of the Kedron community were honored at a special evening in the Lower Hall of the church 'on Friday. An interesting program was presented before the presenta- tion. Sharon Scott, accompanied by Linda Scott sang a solo. Mrs. William Spry, of Columbus, read one of Gregory Clark's short humorous sketches. With Mrs, Ross Lee supplying a piano accompaniment, Sebast- ian Hohmann favored with a few numbers on his new '"guitjo" a cross between a guitar and a banjo, and on the musical saw. Walter Davis gave a reading, "Homemade Bread". Mrs. Douglas Love accompanied by Mrs, Charles Thomias, sang sev- eral songs.
