The interim chairman, Walter Rohrer, who is employed with the Oshawa Recreation Com: mittee and thus in a position to obtain all the official assistance required, said in his introductory speech that, "The set-up of this Teague has been enabled with all the help we received from th ORC and the willingness of the Neighborhood Associations to give us a chance to intro- duce soccer to their youngsters. There appears to be great in- terest amongst the boys from 6 to 13 years to learn about the game and play it, and so far the problems we encounter are of the kind that ean easily be solved." A LOSS TO SOCCER Jim Gard, president of the Oshawa Association, reported the regettable news that the Ontario Minor Soccer Co-ordina- tor, Ron Graham had died of a heart attack last Thursday. Ron Graham was the driving force to organize the Minor Soccer in Ontario, and mostly due to his efforts, there are presently over 8,000 minors playing in leagues throughout the province. It was said that there will be some difficulties with transportation of the boys, but this will be taken care of by the parents. Soccer players under 18-years-old are not allowed to wear soccer boots to prevent injuries on legs. Most of the games will be played on school and parkfields, but if necessary the Kinsmen Stadium may be used.
