Clinic Requires The Oshawa Blood Donor Clinic early in Februany set a record for the number of per- sons who donated blood. Robert H. Stroud, clinic chairman, is hopeful that the support ac- corded the March clinic being held Thursday, March 5, in St. Gregory's Auditorium will be as enthusiastic. He emphasized this morning that the minimum requirement for the clinic is 400 bottles of blood. It is essential that this number of donations be given as the need at the Oshawa General \Hospital is great. The clinic as usual will be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. The giving of a donation takes only a few minutes and causes no incon- venience. The words: "Ask and It shall be Given Unto You," voiced by Jesus, bring hope and encour- agement to the hearts of many. All that.is required on our part is simple faith--believe and it shall be given unto you. There are many people in the world today, alive, who can testify to the truth of that scrip- ture. They are people, who, ag a result of injury, needed ang received a blood transfusior that saved their life. Truly, the Red Crass, per- haps more than any other ore ganization symbolizes the trutl of those words. On Thursday, March 5, the Red- Cross will once again set up a Blood Don- or Clinic and will give the people of Oshawa, the op- portunity--the privilege of giv: ing of their blood. The blood banks of the nation are subject to ever increasing demands-- the need is most urgent a strong response is vital. Someday disaster may strike you. Your life may hang by a slender thread--you will be asking for blood--you would want a supply to be there so help put it there--make a dona- tion so that, if the occasion arises you may "ask and it shall be given unto you." that the merger is now being} NEAR RAGLAN |negotiated, A resident of the Raglan Port Hope Fire Chief J.
