The event will be the annul 'Minor Hockey Night' and will feature three games starting at 6.00 p.m. The gentlemen here in. Whitby who are responsible for the running of the minor hockey set up have done a tremendous job over the past few years. They have worked hard to give the young fellows of Whitby every opportunity to develop their skills at Canada's national win- ter sport. There are literally dozens of men who give hours of time in coaching, managing and helping to operate the leagues. One has only to go down to the arena on Saturday morn- ings starting at seven o'clock > minor hockey set-up here in Whitby, : One thing that is a must with the minor set up here in Whitby is safety. The league insists on head gear for all the players. They must keep the chin-strap done up at all-times when on the ice and an infraction against this rule draws an automatic two- minutes penalty. They also in- sist on the plastic covers on the heels of the skates so no player will be cut if. he falls on the heel of an opposing player. The three games tomorrow night will feature: Pee Wee action starting at 6.00 o'clock when the Whitby Pee Wees will hook up with their arch rivals: from Ajax. At 7.15 the Whitby Bantams will tangle with the Bowman- ville Bantams, The feature attraction will be the Whitby Midgets against the fine 'Midget team' from Can- and see the small fry getting a start, fa their road to. stardom.
