The Right Reverend p Coffey ..elcomed the guests and offi- cially opened the bazaar. Re- ceiving the guests was the gen- eral convener, Mrs. Joseph Cailahan. The booths were decorated with Christmas streamers. The fancy work booth with knitted goods, crochet work, . aprons and many other articles was convened by Mas. J. T. Mullen and Mrs. Frank Hoar, assist- ed by Mr, J. J. Maher and Mrs. Leo Krybul. The home baking was well patronized with Mrs. H. T. Anthony and Mrs. Stephen Coe in change assisted by Mrs. Mau- rice Tailion and Mrs. Frank Haengsen. The candy booth was con- vened by Mrs, James Hickey and Mrs. Jean Hamm. The white elephant booth was convened by Mrs. J. H. Lyons and Mrs. John Sagriff, also on the booth were touch and take Christmas turkey dinner and party. ' Refreshments were served in the social hour. WOMEN'S GUILD (St. George's) The Westmount group of St. George's Memorial Church met at Cowan House recently for the regular meeting. The evening opened wth the Guild praycr led by the president, Mrs. Cecil Rowden followed by a reading by Miss Dulcie Miller cailed "My Unforgetabie Christ- mas" by David Niven. | The minutes and the treasur-| er's report were by Mrs. Peter Syperek. A letter was read from the Woman's Welfare League esking for volunteers to help in connection with Simcoe Hail Boys' Club. The Christmas party will be held at the YWCA on Friday, December 13. Instead of ex- changing gifts this year a dona- tion of fifty dollars is to be giv- en to a needy family. Mrs. E. N. Weldon and Miss Peggy Jack-| son will look after the enter-) and doll clothes. The country store booth was convened by Mrs, Julian Vann and Mrs. R. W. Lack assisted by Miss N. Nicholls. The tea tables were attrac- tively set with Christmas centrepieces, and the tea was convened by Mrs. Jack Lang- ley, assisted by Mrs. George Emberly, Mrs. Mary Nicholls, Mrs. Stephen Bonfordi, Mrs. Stephen Rigo and Mrs. Charles Gviesa.
