Mr. and Mrs. Peel were married in Blackstock in the year 1898 and lived in the Beth- any district until 1908, when WEEKLY WHIST DRIVE A whist drive was held at the Rundle Park Clubhouse, Park road south, on ednesday night. Mr. Richard Martin won the taffle and kindly gave it back to be drawn again, the winner this _ being Mr. David The \ whist drive winners were Mrs. Eric Smith, Mrs. Jack Howard and Mrs, Kenneth Shortt. from Whitby, won the "booby" prize. Last week's prize winners were: Mirs. James Thomson, Mr. David Boakes, Mrs. J. Mad- der. The raffle was won by Mrs. G. H. Clapp and the booby prize by Mrs. E. Mcllwraith. Refreshments, 'were served they moved to a farm on the Manchester road. In 1952 when Mr. Peel' retired from farming, they moved into Port Perry, where they have resided on John street ever since. Ruby Clark, Tena Roberts, Agnes Wallace, Ann Creighton, Agnes Kemlo and Meta Moore, all PDGM'S, received the usual warm welcome of Sun- beam Chapter. Presiding Matrons and Pa- trons present were eleven. Sis- ter Cora greeted the twenty-two past officers who were pres- em. To the members of the chapter, Sister Cora expressed her appreciation of their sup- port and asked that they give the in-coming officers the same loyal service. Visitors were present from Madoc, Whitby, Toronto, Bow- manville, York, Pickering and Port Perry. Sister Jean Scott gave the re- port on the sick and ail were wished a speedy recovery. The trustees' report was given by Dorothy Haley and the audi- tor's report by Agnes Kemlo. The treasurer's and secretary's annual reports were given. Invitations were accepted to visit the following chapters: December 10, Durham chapter, Bowmanville; November 14, Blue Ray, Port Perry; Novem- ber 28, Whitby; November 20, Markham; and November 22, Sunland Chapter, Sunderland.
