Possibly one of the most pressing recreational needs in our city for the past sev- eral years has been the need for an indoor swimming pool. Many of our citizens have been travelling. considerable distances 'during the fall and winter months in order to provide this type of rec- reation for their _ children. It is indeed gratifying that we can. now enjoy this type of recreational facility at home. Built at a cost of over $400,000 this modern building contains an indoor heated swimming pool as well as a large gymnasium, for the enjoyment of the young people of Oshawa. I would like to congratulate the executive committee of the new Boys' Club.on the tremendous job which they have done in providing this new facility for our city and express to them the hope that the enjoyment which our young people will receive from this fine new building will repay them in a small measure for their 'efforts.
