CHAS. CARPENTER COURTICE -- The 18th Osh- awa Scout Mothers' Auxiliary held a successful fall luncheon, with the newly installed presi- dent, Mrs. Garnet Goyne, greet- ing the guests at the door. Guest of honor, Mrs. George Fitches, well known for her work throughout the area in Scouting, came from Oshawa to} open the luncheon. The Explorers of Courtice United Church held a Hallowe-- en party at the church under Adair, and Mrs. Cecil Simmons. The CGIT group under Mrs. Jerry Estabrooks were guests. Various games were enjoyed with doughnuts and: hot choco- late served by the leaders. The Kum All Unit met at the leader, Mrs. Lloyd Cour- tice. Talent money was given to each member to raise funds for the group, after a short business meeting the Unit went to Oshawa to tour the Bell Telephone building, Lunch was, served by the staff after the tour.
