Gignac Presents Scholarships To The Reverend Norbert Gignac presented two scholarships worth $50.each to two students at the regular meeting of St. Mary's CWL. The scholarships were awarded by the St. Mary's Council of the CWL to the boy and girl from the parish who attained the highest average in Grade 12 and are now in Grade 13. The recipients were Cather- ine Van DeVen and Timothy Dittmar, students at McLauzh- lin Collegiate and Vocational In- stitute. Father Gignac opened the meeting with the league prayer and Mrs. Max Coleman presid- ed for the business portion. The winner of the draw held by the Felician Sisters at Port Credit was Mrs. Donald Reid. A rummage sale will be held on Friday, November 8, at 1.30 p.m. in the Church Auditorium, 532 Stevenson road north. The next general meeting is to be held on December 2, and will be in the form of a pot luck supper, Conveners for this event are Mrs. Norman' Fry, Mrs. Bernard Jones and Mrs. Rudy Nagel.
