Mr. Davidson conveyed his ideas to several members of the Chamber of Commerce at a general meeting and from this stemmed the Whitby Trade Fair Board. In that same year, Whitby Chamber of Commerce present- ed its first Industrial Trade Fair. it was a tremendous suc- cess and only days after its two- day run, Chamber officials voted to make "Trade Fair' an annual event. LAST OFFICIAL DUTY One of the last official duties | ef Gordon T, Richards, when he} retired as Chamber president | was to name the 10-member | Trade Fair Board, headed by/| Mr. Davidson. COMMUNICATIONS TO TRANSPORTATION It is interesting to note that) in Ontario County everything | from communications media! needs to transportation facili-| ties is produced and all of these | things will be on exhibit at the! Trade Fair. It is expected when the fair) @pens tomorrow, at least 35 or) 4 exhibit booths will be staffed | and every branch of industry | producing within the county will be represented.
