MRS, HERBERT JACKSON The death of Mrs. Herbert Jackson, of Orange Corners, near Peterborough, occurred suddenly Tuesday, April 30, at the Peterborough Civic Hosp- tal. She was in her 86th year: 'A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert McElwain, she was born in Emily Township, ne ar Omemee, and was married to the late Herbert Jackson at the home of her parents, Jan. 30, 1901. Mrs. Jackson lived in the Peterborough area all her life. A member of Bethel United Church, she was active in the work of the women's auxiliary. Mrs, Jackson was predeceas- ed by her husband, in June, 1961. She is survived by four sons, Harry L., of Omemes; Clifford W., of Peterborough: Donald E. and H.
