Mrs. Gerrow had been in failing health for a year. Born on Scugog Island Dec. 11, 1870 she was a daughter of the late John and Harriet Plat- She married Elijah Gerrow in 1896 on Scugog Island and was predeceased by him in 1955. After her marriage Mrs. Ger- row settled in Uxbridge and then moved back to Scugog Island in 1919. Then in 1924 she moved to Port Perry where she resided until coming to Oshawa in 1934. Since her coming to Oshawa Mrs, Gerrow had been a mem- ber of King Street United Church and was also a member of the United Church Women formerly called the Sunshine Group. Mrs. Gerrow {s survived by two daughters, Mrs. Earle Ding- man (Hazel) and Mrs. Donald Anderson (Edna), both of Port Perry, and two sons, Grant, of Port Perry and Mansell of Oshawa. A funeral service will be held' at the Gerrow Funeral Home Monday, March 11, at 2 p.m. Rev, W. G. Dickson, minister of Centre Street United Church, will conduct the services in the absence of Rev. L. W. Herbert of King Street United Church Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. MRS, RUTH E. MacMILLAN Following a prolonged illness the death occurred early today at her home, RR 2, Whitby, of Mrs, Ruth E. MacMillan. She was in her 38rd year. The former Ruth E. Pod- pallock, the deceased was a daughter of Mrs. May Golow and the alte John Podpallock. She was born in Oshawa and had been a life long resident of the district. She was married in all Saints' Anglican Church, Whitby, in 1952. Mrs, MacMillan, who was the owner of Orchards of Ontario, Highway 12, north of Whitby, was an adherent of the Baptist Church. A graduate dietitian of the Ontario Ladies' College, she worked at the Ross Memorial, Hospital, Lindsay and the Belle- ville General Hospital. Besides her husband, Mrs. MacMilaln is survived by her mother and two brothers, David Podpallock, Cobourg and Peter Podpallock, Whitby. The funeral service will be held at the W. C, Town Funeral Chapel, Whitby, at 2 p.m., Sat- urday, March 9. Temporary entombment will be at Oshawa Union Cemetery. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Port Whitby, at a later date. PARK The death of Mrs. Florence Maude Park, 55 Bruce street, ocrurred suddenly on Tuesday, Mar. 5, at her residence. The former Florence Maude Kilmer, she was born in Orwell, and married the late William W. Park in St. Thomas in 1917. She resided in Toronto for a short time, and in Oshawa for the past 40 years. At her husband's death in May, 1943, she took over his business of retail sales in the paint and wallpaper field, She was an adherent of Simcoe Street United Church, a mem. ber of the Canadian Club and a member of the Soroptemist Club.
