Born in London, Eng., she was married there and came to Can- ada as Mrs. Mary Ann Ashton in 1911. She settled in Toronto where Mr. Ashton later died. In 1930, she married Charles W. '.| Fenton in Toronto. Mrs, Fenton had lived in Ajax since 1941, and was one of the .|first residents of the area when the Defense Industries Limited plant opened. A daughter of the late William Bell and Jane Tait, she was born in Scotland, Feb. 24, 1866. Miss Bell came to Canada at the age of six amd lived for a {time between Port Hope and Cobourg. She resided in Roch ester, N.Y., for about 50 years, going there from Brooklin. In Rochester, she was a member .|of Lake Avenue Baptist Church. Miss Bell is survived by two sisters, Mrs. F, Patton (Mary), of Buffalo, N.Y., and Mrs. S. ' Laidlaw (Willa), of Vancouver, B.C. There are several nieces and nephews.
