KEN GAMSBY ORONO -- A meeting of the Durham Central Agricultural Society was held at the Odd. fellows Hall recently with Mr, Jose, the new president and the 1963 Directors. Mrs, Margo Samuel chairman of the Drama Festival and her committee met with the di- rectors to discuss the Festival in 1963, regarding a budget. Mrs. Samuel outlined the functions. of the various mem- bers of her committee and also) gave a detailed account of ex- penses. The directors were in favor of sponsoring the Festival, and promised their support in selling tickets and interesting mem. bers in attending. the plays. The Society will be respon- eible for all expenses including the lunch served each evening. Mrs, Don Staples has con. sented to be Social Convener} for the coming year and all di-} rectors and their wives will be| asked to assist her. Some discussion was held re- garding suitable facilities for holding the Festival in the Town Halli, but since the Plays had been held in Orono in the past and have been given the identity of the Orono Drama Festival it was felt that they should continue to be held in the Town Hall Two tenders were discussed for the operation of the Midway at the 1963 fair and the tender of Dane Found was accepted for a five year period Mr. Found will pay the Board} a sum of $600 for the concession! along with a limited space| Newcastle PS | May Need Two | More Rooms | NEWCASTLE --"At its Febru | ary meeting, the members "| the village council were warn ed by a delegation from the!
