Plant On Base Line - BOWMANVILLE (Staff) -- Town Councillor Kenneth Hooper was credited with bring- ing a new industry here and town council passed its indus- trial land servicing bylaw, at a special meeting last night. Although there has been no announcement as to what kind of industry it will be, present indications are that it will be a big asset to the town. Mr. Hooper introduced the! motion for the third reading of the industrial land servicing bylaw. In April this year, it was this same councillor who) fought to have the third read- ing of this bylaw delayed until the town had a firm commit- ment from industry that it would locate in Bowmanville.
